George Washington what a great leader, man, and friend. As the first president of the United States of America he’s doing a great job. As our president he tries to make life meaningful and happy for those that deserve it. He is so dedicated to his job that he has refused to join a political party because he believes it will cause conflict within the government. This would not be good when you’re trying to make the government stronger.
When we elected George to be president he wanted nothing to do with it. Even when he was offered $25,000 a year he turned it down because he valued his image of a selfless public servant. Reluctantly he took the job and the money because they didn’t want people to get the image that only wealthy men could become president. This is the kind of man we needed as the first president he set the tone for presidents in the future. Because George was a successful man he led our country in the path of becoming successful as well. He was many things before he became the president he even owns his own plantation which shows he is a hard working man and he’ll get the job done.
George fought hard to gain the independence for the 13 colonies. The people wanted to be free from Britain tyranny. To not be dictated on what to think, what religion you can practice, and right from wrong. George led the army through the Revolutionary War with great strides and set backs, but no matter what he didn’t give up. Eventually the fighting paid off because Britain gave in to the colonies demands. Now that the colonies had their freedom from Britain George wanted to work on making the country better. The country needed good structure to live in peace and actually have freedom.
